An author platform built to carry a mother's testimony — her book, her bookstore, and her ministry under one roof.
The brief
LaTrenna Huey didn't research her book. She lived it. My Son's Conviction: A Mother's Life Sentence came out of the years she spent walking through her son's addiction and incarceration — and the faith she found on the other side.
Readers were already finding the book and leaving reviews. What the story didn't have was a home: a place online that carried it with the gravity it deserves, and put nothing between LaTrenna and the people her testimony is meant to reach. We designed and built faithfullystanding.com to be that place.
Objective
A testimony this personal can't live on a generic author template. Three things had to be true.
A design with the gravity of a hardcover: her face, her words, her book — nothing generic between them.
Her own bookstore with a cart and checkout on her own domain — not just a link that hands readers to a marketplace.
Blog, podcast, community, and the next three books — each with a place ready before it arrives.
Approach
Three decisions shaped every page. Here's each one — and what it looks like on the live site.
Deep forest green, candlelit gold, and burgundy — the palette of a library, not a landing page. Playfair Display serifs set “AUTHOR LATRENNA HUEY” like a title page, and her portrait and book photography carry the rest. The site reads like the book it exists to hold.
The homepage is ordered the way she tells her story. “For anyone carrying pain, searching for answers, or feeling far from God” arrives before any buy button. Meet the Author is written in her voice and signed Latrenna xoxo, with real reader reviews rotating beneath. By the time “Buy My Book” appears, it feels like the natural next step — not a pitch.
A working shop on her own domain: cart, checkout, and My Son's Conviction at $9.95, direct to readers. Beside it, three “Coming Soon” titles already staged — when the next book is finished, launching it is an upload, not a rebuild. Faith Line Creation runs like a publishing house of one.
Results
A platform that carries the ministry, not just the book.
Eight pages deep: Home, Books, About, Community, Testimonials, Podcast, Blogs, and Contact.
The book sells from her own domain, cover to checkout — with her Amazon author page, Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok wired in.
The first chapter free in exchange for an email, plus a footer newsletter — every visitor becomes a reader she can write to.
“I didn't just want a website. I wanted a place where someone carrying what I've carried could land and feel seen. That's what they built.”
